Missa in Bb Nokki dubious 7 [Weinmann XIX:B3]
Wanhal ?
Nokki dubious 7
Weinmann XIX:B3
Hoboken1957 XXII:B13
Múdra2011 VIII/1: B2
Attributed names: Johann
Baptist Wanhal, Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf, Jósef Elsner, Joseph
Haydn, Michael Haydn, Joseph Keinz, Henrik Klein, Alexander Pater, Franz
Nicolaus Novotný, [?] Schrödinger, Anton Zimmermann
Authenticity: Dubious Attribution
This is a smaller mass that is famously transmitted under
several names, and the simple style of the mass makes it virtually
impossible to conclusively attribute it (the attribution to Joseph Haydn
can safely be disregarded). Unless an autograph be recovered, this is
likely to remain unattributable. This page will be expanded to account
for all known settings at a later date.
